The spiral calendar, includes a full church calendar on each page (fortnightly), an icon of each Saint who is commemorated and the fasts. On the back side there are the lives of the Saints (succinctly) and the religious readings.
The calendar is a traditional Christian method of organizing a liturgical year on the level of days by associating each day with one or more saints, and referring to the day as that saint's feast day
